Search continues for Alisha Blair Ivy in Clarke County

QUITMAN, Mississippi — The disappearance of Alisha “Blair” Ivy remains one of Clarke County’s most haunting unsolved cases, with investigators and family still searching for answers more than seven years later in what Clarke County authorities say is a case of foul play.

Ivy, 23 at the time, was last seen Oct. 28, 2018, at a residence on Long Boulevard in Quitman. Investigators describe her as a white woman with dark brown hair, green eyes, 5-foot-11 and about 175 pounds, with several tattoos on her upper leg, chest, back and arms.

Authorities say Ivy had been staying with a male friend, Steve Ray Perry, when she vanished. A close friend visited the day she was last seen and said Ivy told her an ex-boyfriend was on the way. Perry initially told investigators he had not seen Ivy that day but later acknowledged she left through a back door after saying she would meet her ex, investigators said.

Investigators say Ivy’s cellphone was active later that afternoon, sending a text around 4:07 p.m. from an area near the southwestern part of Clarke County and the Jasper County line. Her phone pinged the Voss tower, which authorities say covers parts of Clarke, Jasper and Jones counties.

Family members say Ivy’s disappearance was out of character. Her father, Ferlin Ivy, told WTOK in 2019 that she had brought him a plate lunch the day before she vanished and told him she loved him. Former Sheriff Todd Kemp has said evidence uncovered points to foul play. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Clarke County Sheriff’s Department at 601-776-5252 or East Mississippi Crime Stoppers at 855-485-TIPS. This is a developing story and will be updated as more details emerge.
