S.T.O.R.M. honors Hattiesburg officer for 141 DUI arrests
S.T.O.R.M. honored Hattiesburg Police Officer Nathaniel Hocker at the annual Sobriety Trained Officers Representing Mississippi conference in Biloxi after he made 141 DUI arrests in 2025, the Hattiesburg Police Department said in a Facebook post.
Hocker has served as a DUI officer with the department since 2024, the post said, and the department commended him for his professionalism and dedication. The department said his proactive enforcement work aims to reduce alcohol- and drug-impaired driving and make the community’s roadways safer for residents and visitors.
S.T.O.R.M. is an annual gathering that brings together officers who specialize in sobriety enforcement across Mississippi for training, information sharing and recognition. Annual conferences like this typically highlight strategies to detect and deter impaired driving, which public safety officials say contributes to traffic deaths and injuries.
The Hattiesburg Police Department said it appreciates Hocker’s continued focus on impaired-driving enforcement. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
