Starkville police arrested a 19-year-old man Sunday after officers found an adult male who had been shot at an apartment complex, the department said.
Officers with the Starkville Police Department responded at 2:25 p.m. May 24 to a disturbance at Chandler Park Apartments, 309 Reed Road, the department said in a news release. Jakavious Goss, 19, of Starkville, was arrested at the scene and charged with domestic violence — aggravated assault. Goss was transported to the Oktibbeha County Jail.
The male victim was taken to Jackson for further treatment and is in critical condition, according to the news release. The department said the incident remains under investigation.
