Rankin County Sheriff’s Office closes administrative offices for Memorial Day
The Rankin County Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post that its administrative offices will be closed Monday, May 25, in observance of Memorial Day. The post said the department’s patrol division will continue to operate as scheduled through the holiday.
The announcement came from the office identified as RCSO and mentioned Sheriff Bailey by last name. The sheriff’s office provides law enforcement services to Rankin County, Mississippi, including routine patrols and responses to emergencies in unincorporated areas.
Closing administrative offices for a federal holiday typically affects services such as records requests, permit processing and other nonemergency functions, while patrol and emergency services remain staffed to protect public safety. Memorial Day is observed to honor men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military.
Sheriff Bailey and everyone at RCSO wished residents a safe Memorial Day in the post. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
