Oxford Police close administrative offices July 3 for Independence Day

The Oxford Police Department said in a Facebook post that its administrative offices will be closed Friday, July 3, in observance of the Independence Day holiday. The department advised that anyone with an emergency should call 911 and that non-emergency assistance is available through dispatch at 662-232-2400.

The Oxford Police Department is the primary municipal law enforcement agency for the city of Oxford. Administrative offices typically handle records, reports and other non-emergency services that may be delayed during holiday closures, while patrol and emergency response operations generally remain in place.

Independence Day, observed July 4, often prompts government offices and many businesses to close for the holiday weekend. The department’s announcement serves to remind residents how to reach police services if needed and reflects routine adjustments agencies make to staffing and public access during holidays. The department also wished residents a safe and happy Fourth of July weekend.

For emergencies call 911. For non-emergency police assistance call dispatch at 662-232-2400. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
