Rankin County deputies collect school supplies at Flowood Walmart

Deputies with the Rankin County Sheriff’s Department said in a Facebook post that they will be at the Walmart in Flowood today accepting school supply donations for students in the Rankin County School District.

The Rankin County Sheriff’s Department is the primary law enforcement agency for Rankin County, Mississippi, and frequently partners with community organizations for outreach programs. The Rankin County School District serves public schools across the county and provides education for thousands of students from elementary through high school.

School supply drives like this aim to help families facing financial strain and to ensure students have essential materials for the classroom. Local donation events also reflect broader efforts by law enforcement agencies to engage positively with residents and support educational needs in their communities.

Officials did not provide additional details in the post. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
