Pratt located and safe, police say
Melody Marie Pratt has been located and is fine, the Picayune Police Department said in a Facebook update.
Police had earlier asked for the public’s help in locating the 27-year-old, who was described as about 110 pounds and 5-foot-7 with blue eyes and blonde hair. Authorities said Pratt was last seen Thursday, April 23, 2026, in the area of Timberwood Lane and was wearing a long-sleeve blue sweater and pink or purple shorts.
The Picayune Police Department, the local law enforcement agency serving Picayune in Pearl River County, Mississippi, posted the alert to social media to enlist community assistance. In the update, the department thanked residents for shares and tips that helped lead to Pratt being located.
Anyone with information related to the earlier search was asked to contact Pearl River County Central Dispatch at 601-749-5482. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
