Pike County sheriff’s office supports children’s advocacy fundraiser
Pike County Sheriff Bryant “Wally” Jones, Chief Damian Gatlin and members of the Pike County Sheriff’s Office leadership team supported the Southwest Mississippi Children’s Advocacy Center’s Bingo & Bubbly event, the department said in a social media post.
According to a post from the Pike County Sheriff’s Office Public Relations Department on Facebook, Jones and his team served as ushers, greeters and escorts, welcoming guests and assisting with the event to help create a safe and enjoyable evening for attendees.
The sheriff’s office said it regularly backs organizations that serve children and families across Southwest Mississippi and that community service extends beyond traditional law enforcement duties. The department said its participation reflects a commitment to supporting groups that protect and advocate for children.
The Southwest Mississippi Children’s Advocacy Center provides services for children and families affected by abuse and neglect, including advocacy and support, according to general descriptions of such centers. The Pike County Sheriff’s Office provided the account and photos via its Public Relations Department on Facebook.
