Pike County sheriff supports Southwest Health America’s 250 celebration
Pike County Sheriff Bryant “Wally” Jones and members of the Pike County Sheriff’s Office participated in Southwest Health’s “America’s 250 Celebration,” the agency said in a social media post.
The Sheriff’s Office set up an informational booth where deputies engaged with residents, shared information on agency services and worked to strengthen community relationships, the post said. Deputies also handed out stuffed animals and interacted with families during the event.
“We are honored to support events that bring our community together,” Sheriff Jones said in the post. “America’s 250 Celebration is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our nation’s history while strengthening the partnerships that make Pike County such a special place to live.”
The post said the office supports efforts that create positive experiences for youth and that Sheriff Jones believes building trust begins with being present in the community. The Pike County Sheriff’s Office extended its appreciation to Southwest Health for hosting the event, the post said. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
