Pike County honors National Police Week, praises Sheriff Wally Jones

The Pike County Sheriff’s Office said it will observe National Police Week from Sunday, May 10, through Saturday, May 16, 2026, and thanked local law enforcement for their service.

In a Facebook post released by the Pike County Sheriff’s Office Public Relations Department, the agency called Sheriff Bryant “Wally” Jones the “Top Cop of Pike County” and thanked him and his team for their dedication, sacrifice and commitment to keeping communities safe.

The post praised Jones’ leadership and the professionalism of deputies, saying their service does not go unnoticed and expressing appreciation for their daily work to protect and serve Pike County residents. The office also said followers should “stay tuned for more highlights.”

National Police Week is observed each May and is commonly used to honor law enforcement officers, including those who have died in the line of duty, and to recognize the role police play in community safety. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
