Oxford Police Chief McCutchen Named President of Mississippi Association of Chiefs of Police
Chief Jeff McCutchen of the Oxford Police Department has been named president of the Mississippi Association of Chiefs of Police, the department announced on its Facebook page.
In the announcement, Chief McCutchen said, “As Proverbs 27:17 reminds us, ‘As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.’ Always keep your sword sharp by challenging yourself physically, mentally, socially, and educationally. Never stop growing, learning, and improving. Strive each day to be the very best version of yourself and encourage others to do the same. Together, we become stronger, wiser, and better equipped to serve those around us.”
The Oxford Police Department congratulated McCutchen in the post and said it expects he will do a strong job representing the association. The department did not provide additional details about the term or duties in the announcement.
The Mississippi Association of Chiefs of Police is a professional organization representing law enforcement leaders across the state and generally provides opportunities for training, networking and discussion of policy and best practices. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
