Oxford police chief named president of Mississippi Association of Chiefs of Police
Oxford Police Chief Jeff McCutchen has been named president of the Mississippi Association of Chiefs of Police, the organization announced.
The Mississippi Association of Chiefs of Police is a statewide membership group that represents police leadership across the state. The organization typically focuses on professional development, training, information sharing and advocacy on issues affecting law enforcement agencies.
As president, McCutchen will assume a leadership role within a network of municipal and county police chiefs that often works with state agencies, provides guidance on best practices and organizes conferences and training for law enforcement professionals. The position can give a local chief influence in shaping statewide conversations about public safety and policing standards.
Oxford is home to the University of Mississippi and serves as a regional hub in northern Mississippi, making law enforcement leadership there broadly visible. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
