Ocean Springs police honor mothers on Mother’s Day

The Ocean Springs Police Department posted a Mother’s Day message on its Facebook page honoring mothers in the community, saying they are “the heart of our homes and the backbone of our community.”

The post thanked mothers for their “unconditional love, endless strength, and the quiet sacrifices you make every single day,” and extended wishes for a “peaceful, joyful, and love-filled Mother’s Day.”

The department’s message added that mothers who are “raising families, nurturing dreams, or caring for others in our town” have an impact that is felt “far and wide,” and closed with greetings “from all of us at the Ocean Springs Police Department.”

Ocean Springs is a coastal city on the Gulf Coast of Mississippi, and the Ocean Springs Police Department is the local law enforcement agency that serves its residents. The post is an example of local agencies using social media to recognize community events and holidays and to express appreciation for residents. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
