The brief announcement, carrying the tag #ServiceBeforeSelf, notified residents that the department had compiled its weekly accounting of calls and incidents.
The sheriff’s office is the primary law enforcement agency for Pike County, responsible for patrol, criminal investigations, jail operations and community outreach. Weekly crime reports are a routine tool agencies use to inform the public about recent activity, promote transparency and encourage community awareness of public safety trends.
