Pike County Sheriff’s Office posts weekly crime report

Pike County Sheriff’s Office released a crime report covering May 1-7, 2026, the agency’s Public Relations Department said in a Facebook post. The brief announcement, carrying the tag #ServiceBeforeSelf, notified residents that the department had compiled its weekly accounting of calls and incidents.

The sheriff’s office is the primary law enforcement agency for Pike County, responsible for patrol, criminal investigations, jail operations and community outreach. Weekly crime reports are a routine tool agencies use to inform the public about recent activity, promote transparency and encourage community awareness of public safety trends.

The Facebook post did not include detailed incident descriptions in its brief notice. Such weekly summaries typically can include arrests, traffic incidents, calls for service and administrative updates, which help local residents, media and community leaders track law enforcement activity over time.

The Sheriff’s Office provided the report through its Public Relations Department via social media to reach a broad audience. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
