Lincoln County deputies offer meals, supplies at Charity Baptist Church

LINCOLN COUNTY — The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office said deputies will return to Charity Baptist Church to provide meals and supplies for residents affected by recent storms.

Deputies said they will begin at 9 a.m. with coffee and muffins, and will serve burgers, hot dogs and tacos starting at 11 a.m. The sheriff’s office said there will be enough food for 600 people and that a grill will operate throughout the day.

Officials encouraged residents who have food in freezers and do not want it to go to waste to bring it to the church for cooking. The sheriff’s office said donations of diapers, wipes, toilet paper, water, toothbrushes, toothpaste, snacks and canned goods will also be available to families in need.

The sheriff’s office said deputies will work to deliver supplies to residents who are unable to reach the church. The offer comes as communities continue recovery efforts after recent storms. This is a developing story and will be updated as more details emerge.
