Grace Bible Baptist Church delivers cupcakes to police
Members of Grace Bible Baptist Church recently delivered cupcakes to officers and staff at a local police department, a Facebook post said. The post said church members stopped by to thank law enforcement personnel and to offer support.
The post included a photograph showing church members standing alongside Sgt. Ellis as they dropped off the treats. It expressed gratitude for the church’s “kindness, generosity and continued support,” and said officers appreciated being kept in the congregation’s prayers.
Simple acts of appreciation such as food donations and thank-you visits are common ways communities show support for public servants and can boost morale among officers and civilian staff. Churches and other community groups frequently organize similar gestures to recognize first responders’ service.
This is a developing story and will be updated as more details emerge.
