A Jackson police officer discovered a deceased man on Ridgeway Street near Booker T. Washington Street on Monday, April 27, 2026, at about 8:30 p.m., the Jackson Police Department said.
The department said a Precinct 3 officer on routine patrol observed someone lying in the street and, on closer inspection, determined the individual was a deceased male believed to be about 40 years old. Detectives are working to make a positive identification, after which they will notify next of kin, the department said.
