Highway 90 reopens after detour off Biloxi-Ocean Springs Bridge

Highway 90 has reopened and normal eastbound traffic patterns off the Biloxi-Ocean Springs Bridge have resumed, a Facebook post said. The post thanked motorists for their patience and urged drivers to continue to operate vehicles safely.

Earlier, the post said eastbound traffic coming off the Biloxi-Ocean Springs Bridge was being detoured from Highway 90 onto Porter Avenue. Motorists were warned to expect delays and advised to consider alternate routes if possible.

Authorities instructed drivers to follow the directions of law enforcement and traffic control personnel while travel conditions returned to normal. The Biloxi-Ocean Springs Bridge spans Biloxi Bay and connects the cities of Biloxi and Ocean Springs in coastal Mississippi; Highway 90 is a major east-west route along the Gulf Coast.
