Ocean Springs reopens roadways after flooding
OCEAN SPRINGS, Miss. — The Ocean Springs Police Department said all roadways previously affected by flooding have reopened and are now passable.
The department posted the update on social media, thanking residents for their patience and cooperation while crews worked to address the flooding and ensure community safety.
Ocean Springs is a coastal city in Jackson County, Mississippi, where local police coordinate with public works and emergency responders to manage traffic and restore access after storms or high-water events. Reopening roadways restores travel for residents, emergency responders and local businesses.
The department urged drivers to continue using caution because some areas may still have standing water, which can present hazards even after roads reopen.
We will provide more information as it becomes available.
