Gulfport police thank CG BBQ for meal

The Gulfport Police Department thanked CG BBQ for treating its officers to a meal, the department said in a Facebook post.

The department said the food was outstanding, but that the generosity and thoughtfulness behind the gesture meant the most. In the post, the department said acts of kindness such as this remind officers they are appreciated and that encouragement goes a long way.

The post expressed gratitude to CG BBQ and called the business a valued community partner that continually finds ways to give back and support local first responders. Community-provided meals and similar gestures are a common way businesses and residents show support for law enforcement and other emergency personnel.

The department concluded the message by thanking CG BBQ for its generosity and hospitality. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
