The Gulfport Police Department is asking the public for help locating Desmond Dedward Hall, 18, who is wanted on an active felony warrant alleging a drive-by shooting, the department said.
Hall is described as a Black male, 6-foot tall and weighing 170 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes, police said. Officials said he should be considered armed and dangerous and warned residents not to attempt to approach or apprehend him.
Anyone with information on Hall’s whereabouts is asked to contact Crime Stoppers by downloading the P3 Tips app or by calling Crime Stoppers, the department said. The department added that to qualify for a Crime Stoppers reward, information must be submitted directly through Crime Stoppers.
Drive-by shootings are treated as serious violent felonies in most jurisdictions and typically prompt urgent investigative and public-safety responses. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
