Gulfport Police honor fallen officers at memorial service

The Gulfport Police Department said it gathered for its annual Police Memorial Service to honor officers who died in the line of duty, thanking families and members of the department for attending.

In a Facebook post, the department said the event served as a reminder that “the badge is more than a profession, it’s a calling built on sacrifice, service, and unwavering dedication to others.” The post said the courage and commitment of those who have died continue to guide the department.

The department thanked families, friends, retirees and officers who joined the ceremony, saying their “support and strength help ensure these heroes are never forgotten.” The post addressed fallen officers directly: “Your service, your sacrifice, and your legacy will forever remain a part of the Gulfport Police Department. Gone, but never forgotten.”
