Firefighters, police play softball July 18 to benefit Havis’ Kids
Organizers said in a Facebook post that the annual Firefighter vs. Police Softball Game will be held July 18 at Corinth City Park to benefit Havis’ Kids. The event is billed as a community fundraiser and will feature local first responders facing off on the field.
Gates open at 5 p.m. and first pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m., organizers said. The program will include the National Anthem performed by Will Talley, a prayer by Peyton Mooneyham, concessions and a silent auction. There is no gate charge; donations will be accepted.
Firefighter versus police softball games are common community events that raise money for local causes while giving residents a chance to support first responders in a friendly setting. Organizers encouraged families to attend, cheer for their favorite team and participate in the auction and other activities.
We will provide more information as it becomes available.
