Firefighters, police play charity softball in Corinth

Firefighters and police officers will square off Saturday, July 18, at Corinth City Park in an annual charity softball game to benefit Havis’ Kids, organizers said. Gates open at 5 p.m., and the first pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m.

The event will feature the national anthem by Will Talley and a pregame prayer by Peyton Mooneyham. Concessions and a silent auction will be available, and there is no gate charge; donations are appreciated.

Organizers say the annual Firefighter vs. Police softball game brings the community together while raising support for local causes. Such games are commonly used by municipalities and volunteer groups to raise funds and awareness and to provide a family-friendly opportunity for residents to meet first responders.

Attendees are encouraged to bring family and cheer on their favorite team. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
