The Corinth Police Department said on its Facebook page that it won this year’s Annual Firefighter vs. Police Softball Game, celebrating the department’s victory while highlighting community support for a local cause.
The post said the event supported Havis’ Kids and thanked everyone who attended and cheered on the teams. The department said community turnout helped make the event a success.
The police department thanked the Corinth Fire Department for a fun and competitive game, saying the friendly rivalry offered an opportunity for both agencies to work together in support of the community.
Annual charity softball games between police and fire personnel are a common community engagement and fundraising activity in many towns, bringing residents together to support local causes and strengthen relationships between emergency responders and the public.
