Driver Service Bureau restores power, reopens Pearl and Jackson offices
Power has been restored and Driver Service Bureau operations are back up and running as of 10:06 a.m., the bureau said in a Facebook post.
Earlier the bureau reported that its Pearl location at 3851 MS-468 and its Jackson location at 430 State Street were experiencing electrical issues and had temporarily suspended services.
Driver service bureaus typically handle driver’s license renewals, testing, identification cards and other motor-vehicle-related services, and interruptions can affect scheduled appointments and same-day transactions.
The bureau apologized for the inconvenience and said it appreciates customers’ patience while staff addressed the electrical problem. Customers who planned visits to either location may wish to confirm service status before traveling.
