Driver Service Bureau closes North Mississippi offices Jan. 29 due to winter weather

The Driver Service Bureau said in a Facebook post that locations in North Mississippi will be closed Jan. 29 because of winter weather and hazardous conditions.

The bureau, which handles driver licensing and related services for residents, did not list which specific offices would be affected in the post. Closures of driver service locations can delay transactions such as license renewals, permit applications and other in-person services that customers often require.

Officials urged residents to take safety precautions as cold and hazardous conditions continue. The post said, “Stay safe and stay warm.” Customers who need services are encouraged to check the bureau’s official website or social media accounts for updated hours, rescheduling information and possible online alternatives.

This is a developing situation. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
