The Batesville Driver Service Bureau will be temporarily closed for repairs for the remainder of the day, the office said in a Facebook post. Operations are scheduled to resume tomorrow at 8 a.m., the post said.
The post directed customers to two nearby locations for services during the closure: Oxford at 72 F.D. Buddy E. Parkway, Suite 103, and Grenada at 1230 Fairground Road. The office asked customers to use those locations while repairs are under way.
Driver service bureaus typically handle services such as issuing or renewing driver’s licenses and identification cards and processing vehicle registrations and related transactions, making temporary closures potentially disruptive for residents who need time-sensitive services.
The Batesville office apologized for the inconvenience and said it appreciates customers’ patience. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
