Coahoma County Triad fair provides safety gear to seniors

Members of the Coahoma County Triad distributed safety and preparedness items to senior citizens at the Coahoma County Triad Safety Fair, the Coahoma County Sheriff’s Office said in a post on its Facebook page.

The office said attendees received items including fans, fire blankets, weather radios and locks, along with other resources aimed at promoting safety, wellness and emergency preparedness for older residents.

The sheriff’s office post said the Triad remains committed to improving quality of life for the county’s senior community through education, outreach and partnerships. Triad programs typically bring together law enforcement, senior citizens and community groups to reduce crime and improve safety for older adults.

The post thanked vendors, volunteers and the seniors who attended the event. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
