Booneville police honor officers during National Police Week

The Booneville Police Department honored law enforcement officers as part of National Police Week in a Facebook post, saying it remembers those who made the ultimate sacrifice and extends gratitude to officers and their families for their service.

National Police Week is observed annually to recognize the service and sacrifice of law enforcement officers and to remember those who have died in the line of duty. The observance offers communities an opportunity to acknowledge the risks officers face and the role police play in public safety.

The department’s post thanked officers for their commitment to keeping communities safe and included hashtags that underscored the tribute, including #NationalPoliceWeek, #HonorServeSacrifice, #BackTheBlue and #BoonevillePD.

Such acknowledgments aim to show support for active officers and for families who have lost loved ones in service. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
