A social media update says escaped detainee Latoria Sample, also known as Shantercia Donelson, is in custody after being captured moments ago by HCSO deputies in a vehicle at the Woodlands Apartments.
The post said Sample faces additional escape charges. It thanked multiple law enforcement agencies for their quick responses and for bringing resources to assist with the search.
Officials did not provide further details on when or where Sample escaped or where she had been held. Escaped detainees generally prompt immediate, coordinated responses because they can pose a public safety risk and because agencies seek to quickly restore custody and process additional charges.
