Jackson State offers summer camps across colleges
By Jatavian Walker
JACKSON, Miss. — Jackson State University is offering a variety of summer camps and programs across campus aimed at keeping students engaged while school is out, the university said.
Camps will be hosted in several of the university’s colleges, including the College of Business, the College of Education and the College of Science, Engineering and Technology. Organizers said some camp sign-ups have already closed, but many programs remain open and are accepting participants.
Jackson State is a public, historically black university in Jackson that attracts students from across Mississippi and the region. University-run summer programs often provide academic enrichment, hands-on learning and early exposure to college environments, which can benefit both students and working parents seeking structured activities during the school break.
Officials encourage families to check Jackson State’s program listings for details on age groups, schedules and registration. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
