Greenville police arrest man in kidnapping and rape investigation

The Greenville Police Department arrested Kordarial Hughes in connection with an investigation involving allegations of kidnapping and sexual assault that began in April 2026, according to the department.

Officers responded to Delta Health on April 13, 2026, regarding a reported sexual assault. During the investigation, officers learned that the victim reported being taken to a location in Greenville and sexually assaulted without consent.

The department’s Criminal Investigation Division investigated the case, and felony arrest warrants were obtained for Hughes on charges of kidnapping and rape.

Hughes was located at his residence on Friday, September 11, 2026, taken into custody without incident and transported to the Greenville Police Department for booking. The department said he is charged with kidnapping and rape.

The department withheld identifying information about the victim, citing the sensitive nature of sexual-assault investigations. The matter remains an active criminal case.
