Starkville police announce Cotton District safety zone, rideshare hours

The Starkville Police Department operates a safety zone and rideshare pickup and drop-off area in the Cotton District on Friday and Saturday nights from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m., according to a department announcement.

The department said the measures are designed to support public safety in high-traffic areas. The rideshare location will continue operating at the same site used since the 2024 change.

The announcement also states that only clear bags measuring 12 inches by 6 inches by 12 inches are allowed on Friday and Saturday nights.
