The Starkville Police Department announced that only clear bags measuring 12 inches by 6 inches by 12 inches or smaller will be allowed.
On Friday and Saturday nights, the department operates a safety zone and rideshare pickup and drop-off area in the Cotton District from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. The department said the arrangement is designed to support public safety in high-traffic areas.
