Mayo Clinic Laboratories is establishing operations in Southaven, with an investment of more than $30 million and plans to create 234 jobs, according to the Mississippi Development Authority.
From its new DeSoto County location, the company will perform diagnostic testing for hospitals and clients. The testing is intended to provide patients with accurate and timely results.
The company chose Southaven in part because of its strategic location and a facility that can be brought up and running quickly.
