The Gulfport Police Department hosted Cops, Pops & Pups, a community event featuring opportunities to meet local residents and spend time with dogs seeking permanent homes.
The department said Pops Brothers and the Humane Society of South Mississippi brought the dogs and helped connect them with potential adoptive families. The event also drew community members who came out to support the animals.

The department said it hoped some of the dogs found families during the event, while noting that others may still be waiting for their permanent homes.
