Quilts for Cops made a quilt for Rankin County Deputy Patrick Mullins, who sustained severe injuries several months ago while responding to an emergency call, according to the Rankin County Sheriff's Office.
Mullins has undergone multiple surgeries and is recovering at home while receiving physical and occupational therapies, the office said.

Quilts for Cops, a nonprofit founded in 2016, makes handmade quilts and sends them to police officers, firefighters, emergency medical technicians and K9s across the nation who have been injured in the line of duty.
The Sheriff's Office also thanked the public for its outpouring of support for Mullins after the incident. The pictured officials were Chief Deputy Brian Whittington, Mullins and Sheriff Bryan Bailey.
