Greenville’s Mayor’s Blues Reception set for Sept. 17, 2026

The Mayor’s Blues Reception 2026 is scheduled for 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, 2026, at the Downtown Greenville Waterfront in Greenville, Mississippi, according to an announcement by the City of Greenville, Mississippi – Government.

Bre Wooten is slated to perform live in concert at the event, which is themed “Celebrating the Legacy. Honoring the Blues.”

Mayor Errick D. Simmons and blues lovers from around the world are described as taking part in kicking off the 49th Annual Mississippi Delta Blues & Heritage Festival celebration. The reception is presented as a celebration of the Delta’s legacy, music, heritage and people.
