Mayor’s Blues Reception celebrates 49th Mississippi Delta Blues festival

The Mayor’s Blues Reception celebrated the 49th Annual Mississippi Delta Blues & Heritage Festival at the Downtown Greenville Waterfront, bringing together music, culture and community, according to a post by the City of Greenville, Mississippi, government.

The post thanked residents, visitors, elected officials, community leaders, vendors, businesses, volunteers and others who attended or helped organize the event. It also recognized Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze sponsors for supporting the reception.

Artists Clinton Babers, Bre Wooten, J’Cenae and Derek “The Change Man” Smith performed at the event.

Mayor Errick D. Simmons described the reception as a celebration of Greenville’s identity, the legacy of the Blues, local businesses and artists, and community connections.
