Greenville mayor thanks Fuller Center, volunteers for home build
Mayor Errick D. Simmons and the City of Greenville thanked the Fuller Center for Housing of Greenville and volunteers who traveled from Florida, Chicago, Atlanta and Pittsburgh to help build a home at 1733 May Street.
The statement recognized the leadership and dedication of Sheila Washington, the organization’s president; Pastor Antoinette Gibbs-Walton; contractor Taurus McElvaine; and others who contributed time, skills and labor to the project.
The project was described as representing hope, compassion, community and people working together, with the city saying the effort was part of building stronger families and a stronger Greenville.
The statement also thanked those investing in Greenville and patronizing Doe's Eat Place – The Original.
