The Columbus Police Department is marking 25 years since the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, and remembering those who lost their lives.
In a message, the department honored the first responders who ran toward danger to save others and recognized service members and their families whose lives were affected in the years that followed.
The department pledged to remember the sacrifice and bravery of those affected, as well as the unity that brought the nation together. Its message concluded: “September 11, 2001 — Never Forgotten.”
