Tupelo Police Department commemorates lives lost on Sept. 11
The Tupelo Police Department is commemorating the nearly 3,000 people who died in the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks and honoring those who responded and served afterward.
The department said it especially remembers people who made the ultimate sacrifice, including first responders who answered the call that day and military service members who served in the decades that followed. Twenty-five years later, the department said, it remembers them all and will never forget.
