Gould Industries invests $14M in Pike County, creates 65 jobs

A Facebook post said Gould Industries is investing $14 million in Pike County, Mississippi, and will create 65 new jobs, a move the post described as strengthening the state’s manufacturing sector.

The post did not provide details about the project’s timeline, exact location within Pike County or the types of jobs to be created.

Gould Industries is identified in the post as a manufacturing firm. Expansion announcements like this typically draw attention from local and state economic development officials because they can boost employment and local tax revenues, and reinforce supply chains tied to manufacturing.

Mississippi has pursued manufacturing growth in recent years, with the sector playing a significant role in the state economy by providing a range of jobs from production to skilled trades. Local leaders often work with companies on permitting, workforce development and other requirements when new facilities are planned.

We will provide more information as it becomes available.
