Gould Industries brings 65 jobs, $14M investment to Summit, Mississippi

Gould Industries is locating operations in Summit, Mississippi, bringing 65 good-paying jobs and a $14 million investment to Pike County, Mississippi Momentum said in a Facebook post.

According to Mississippi Momentum, Gould Industries is a North American leader in the manufacture of recycled plastics, film extrusion and private-label solutions for major retailers.

The move to Summit, a town in Pike County in southwestern Mississippi, represents a significant addition to the local manufacturing base. Manufacturing jobs of this type often provide stable employment and can support related businesses in supply chains and logistics.

Economic development officials and local leaders frequently pursue investments from plastics and recycling manufacturers because of their potential to expand the tax base and create workforce opportunities, particularly in smaller communities.
