Bishopric Industries expands in Natchez, creates 28 jobs

Bishopric Industries is investing $5.75 million to expand in Natchez and will create 28 new jobs, according to a Facebook post announcing the project.

The post said the investment will provide “more opportunities for our people to take care of themselves and their family” and called the move “another win for Southwest Mississippi” and “another win for our state.” It described the expansion as part of “More Mississippi Momentum.”

Natchez, a city in southwest Mississippi, stands to gain from the new positions and the increased economic activity the company says the expansion will bring. Job creation and capital investment can boost local tax revenues, support suppliers and stimulate additional hiring by area businesses.

State and local officials have increasingly highlighted industrial investments as evidence of broader economic momentum in Mississippi. Details about the timing of the expansion, the types of jobs to be created and any incentives involved were not included in the post. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
