National Weather Service Memphis urges people to seek shelter after seeing lightning
The US National Weather Service in Memphis is reminding people that audible clues may not be reliable for everyone during lightning events and is urging them to move indoors when they see a flash.
The safety message says, “When You See a Flash ⚡ Dash Inside!” It also includes references to Deaf Awareness Week, deaf people, American Sign Language and severe-weather preparedness.
