Heat stress expected Monday west of Interstate 55
Elevated heat stress conditions are expected Monday across central to western portions of the region, generally along and west of Interstate 55. Conditions are expected to be more limited to the east, with peak heat index values around 105-110 degrees.
People who are outdoors for an extended duration are advised to take breaks and stay hydrated.
