Heat index expected to approach 105 degrees Monday

Peak heat index values on Monday are expected to be near 105 degrees, according to the U.S. National Weather Service in Jackson, Mississippi.

Heat exhaustion will be possible during prolonged outdoor activities. People are advised to stay cool and hydrated.
