Elevated fire danger is expected today from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m., with low humidity, winds and dry fuels creating conditions in which grass fires can spread quickly.
People are advised to avoid open flames and sparks, keep vehicles off dry grass and properly discard cigarettes to help prevent fires.
